Amanda's Welcome:
I am ecstatic to present Amanda’s Feel Good Fresh Food restaurant in Downtown Berkeley. This is a dream made possible with the support of hundreds of community members including inspiring restaurateurs & entrepreneurs, professors, interns, and Berkeley students, residents, artists, entrepreneurs, academics, and civic leaders.

I understand the challenge in slowing our fast-paced lives to focus on eating well. Our quick meals and snacks are delicious, convenient, affordable, familiar, wholesome—and low-calorie. Amanda’s fresh, natural-meat burgers, our own real vegetable burger; fresh salads, baked fries, freshly made sodas, and other treats are made from the healthiest-possible ingredients.

I invite you to drop in for a bite, make new friends at our picnic table, and join us for lively weekly discussions about better practices for improved living. Our Discover Berkeley events get you outside and engaged in fun physical activities in the Bay Area.

The Feel Good Fast Food blog since 2006 has been promoting a healthier diets and food to the community. In designing the restaurant, we made sure that our restaurant engages in environmentally sustainable practices. Our packaging is 100% compostable, our flooring is sustainably harvested bamboo, and our paints are low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). History: (top)
Several years ago, as I watched the movie Super Size Me and read the book Fast Food Nation, I recognized the urgent need for convenient, better-for-you food, as most of us are not willing to give up taste or convenience for health and the environment.

In 2006, we started the Feel Good Fast Food blog to promote quick-service foods that are better for both customers and the environment. This highlighted inspiring restaurants and opportunities for improvements. With this inspiration and the help of many, many community members, we launched Amanda’s.

We want people to enjoy their meals, have a friendly service experience, and leave the restaurant feeling energized, happy, and ready to conquer their days.
